​Jeg var på Euratom konference (eller høring) 8. juni, og var vist den eneste proatom person udover Troels fra Seaborg som deltog. Ida Auken åbnede dette debatforum med at kategorisk konkludere at m.h.t. pris er vindmøller nr. 1, derefter solceller, kul, gas og olie og til sidst kommer: (surprise) atomkraft. Derefter forsvandt hun fra høringen og viste sig ikke mere. Sådan kan man jo få det sidste ord.

Så var stilen lagt. Og det blev ikke bedre. Grundtenoren var at atomkraft har ingen fremtid og heller ikke forskning heri- det er alt for dyrt. Mærkeligt nok talte man alligevel hele tiden om reform af Euratom Treaty (og ikke egentlig afskaffelse). I øvrigt var det advokater som dominerede talerrækken. Der var også en englænder som fortalte at GB bliver nødt til at forlade Euratom med Brexit. Han virkede som en af de mere fornuftige modstandere af akraft, Troels og jeg talte en del med ham i kaffepausen og han kunne vist godt se en pointe i at vindmøller måske kun er billigt når man ser bort fra lagring af strøm.

Der var ikke var megen tid til spørgsmål. Jeg fik på et tidspunkt under paneldebatten at vide at jeg måtte vente med spørgsmål (til det enige panel var færdige med at bekræfte hinanden), men fik så ordet da der var 5 minutter tilbage af debatten. Da Troels på et tidspunkt også kæmpede sig til ordet og nævnte at atomkraft jo er CO2-fri, var der en dame foran mig der fnøs højlydt af foragt. Senere spurgte han om man ville foretrække kul eller akraft som backup når vinden ikke blæser, hvilket der ikke blev svaret på. Mine indlæg var måske ikke så diplomatiske men 2 personer tog dog imod min bog med interesse – bl.a. Troels Ranis fra Dansk Industri. Ida Auken nåede af gode grunde ikke at få den.

I øvrigt var der ikke engang 40 deltagere, langtfra de næsten 200 der kom på vores Thorium høring.

Nu vil jeg gå ud og nyde vejret.
